Ohai Chefs! We’re pleased to announce that our new Chef Compliance offering is now available in the AWS Marketplace.  Like our existing Chef Server AMI’s, there are seven AMI’s that come fully licensed in range of different node counts. These new compliance features enable you to automate the assessment and remediation of your IT infrastructure.

On October 28, 2015, Chef Principal Engineer John Keiser presented a webinar on Custom Resources in Chef Client 12.5. John introduced the concept of the custom resource, explained why you would want to write one, introduced the language concepts, and walked through a tutorial of how to make your own. ***UPDATE (11/2/2015): The builds 1.5.4, 1.5.3 and 1.5.2 for Chef Reporting have been pulled as they were found to be incompatible with Chef Server versions less than 12.2. We are quickly working on fixing the issue and will notify you when the new build is complete via our blog.
