This morning at the OpenStack Summit in Atlanta, our friends at Red Hat announced their new ManageIQ Community, which aims to be a one-stop shop for open source cloud management, including governance, automation, and tons of content.

Hello Chefs, We’ve got a release candidate ready for the open source Chef server 11.1.0, 11.1.0-rc.2 It’s a .2 because an earlier release candidate was lacking a Rails CVE update for the WebUI. The release candidate contains several new features, such as full IPv6 support and a new chef-server-ctl upgrade command.

In the coming weeks Chef will be publishing excerpts from an upcoming collection of editorials entitled The Quiet Revolutionaries, featuring some of the brightest minds in DevOps and web-scale IT. We’ve joined with Devops.com to serialize these essays leading up to the publication of the entire collection, right here at getchef.com.

Hi Chefs, I’d like to give you a quick update on our progress towards shipping a Windows build of ChefDK. I know that with the dependency solver changes in Berkshelf 3, it can be a struggle to get berks running on Windows so we’re working to get you a build as soon as we can.
